Lists the exact essential cookies and browser storage keys used by GrantsLookup, with zero third-party behavioral ad trackers.

1. Strictly necessary cookies only

GrantsLookup does not load third-party behavioral advertising pixels, cross-site retargeting networks, or invasive session-replay scripts.

We set one essential first-party HTTP-only cookie named "gd_session" when you sign in or activate a test membership tier. This cookie holds an opaque random session token used solely to authenticate your requests to /api/grants and remember your membership tier. It is deleted upon sign-out or expiration.

2. Browser LocalStorage and Service Worker cache

We use browser LocalStorage only for non-sensitive interface state (such as remembering your last selected state filter or whether you dismissed an install banner) and Cache Storage via /sw.js to store static CSS, JavaScript, icons, and legal pages for offline PWA reliability. Clearing site data in your browser or Android app settings removes all local storage and cached assets immediately.
